Crack House Ant is a single queen type of ant. A mature colony consists of one queen and several dozens to hundreds of workers. The Kenting crack house ant is an omnivorous ant that feeds on plant nectar, nectar secretion or small insect carcasses in the wild. In Taiwan, it is often found at the seashore and is well adapted to the sea. It nests in soil or decaying wood and is very small in size; its tracks can be easily overlooked.

Easy to keep, feed as the main food, can also use sugar water, cockroaches as food, use plaster ants nests, test tube for rearing. Humidity should be maintained at a high level and water towers should be provided.
