XI's tail-lifting house ant is an omnivorous ant that feeds on plant nectar, nectar secretion or small insect carcasses in the wild. They can be found at altitudes ranging from 0 to 2,000 meters and nest in tree branches or rotten wood. They are very small in size and can be easily overlooked.
