Feeding cap body
Easy to install
With non-toxic silicone O-rings, it will be easier than ever to install.
After aligning the feeding cap with the mouth of the test tubeRotate straight in.The test tube can be installed with a little more force on the way, but do not install it at an angle, as the shearing force on the test tube caused by incorrect installation will cause it to rupture.
If you still feel that the test tube is a little tight, you can increase the number of revolutions and apply the force more slowly to prevent the test tube from rupturing.
If you are not using the tubes sold by Ant Catcher, or for some reasons, you really can't install it, you can replace the O-ring with a smaller size.
Replaceable O-Ring
In the future, all feeding caps will have a one-size smaller O-ring attached to accommodate different test tube tolerances.

O-rings of different thicknesses can be easily changed using tweezers or a hook and loop.
"Load the O-ring."
Increase in breathable area
The old version of the feeding lid has the problem of being stuffy, which is not conducive to the feeding of some dry-loving ant species.
The new version of the feeding cap has increased the breathable area to over 800% and is made of 304 stainless steel mesh, so that no ants will be able to bite through the mesh or penetrate into the mesh, thus improving the air permeability of the test tube.

The gap of the food bowl is only 0.2mm, which makes it impossible for common ant species to drill out and in.
※ Even if the gap of the feeding lid is very small, please be prepared for passive ant control, such as ant control tray.

Feeding Covered Tubs
Food bowl capacity
15mm food bowl can be filled with 2~3 drops of feed, depending on the antsFood quantity formulaIt can feed about 10 to 15 workers of giant mountain ants, which is more than enough to nurture the new queen.
The 18mm food bowl can be filled with 4~5 drops of feed, which can feed 20~50 workers of Giant Mountain Ants, almost filling up a test tube!
*Important
- No matter how many drops.Feed should never be higher than the surface of the food bowl.
- Make sure the food bowl is dry before use.
- Keep the feed stable during loading.
Any of the above three errors will result in an overflow.
Ants don't eat much, so there is really no need to drop too much feed. However, if there is any overflow, it is almost always because you have put in too much feed!
Depending on the tool, the actual number of drops varies and the values are for reference only.

Follow-up Maintenance and Preservation
