Introduction
Javanese Ants, formerly known as Javanese Rough-needled Ants, is an ancient ant species that uses stings and jaws as its weapons. It is fierce and common in the wild, and a human being stung by it would feel like hot nails in his hand, but its venom would not kill him (unless you are stung by thousands of ants at a time, I guess).

They are black in color, with deeply carved head, densely covered abdomen, and conspicuous stings. There are no large worker ants, and they often forage on their own, and they are of the Ergatoid class.
The Javanese needle ant is a single queen ant. However, the queen ant will disappear after the nest reaches a certain size (it is not clear whether it dies naturally or is killed), and then it is replaced by the worker ant, Ergatoid, which lays eggs. The mature nest consists of about 100~300 workers. The Javanese needle ant is a carnivorous ant that feeds on worms, cockroaches and other small insects in the wild. It is found throughout Taiwan and nests in fallen logs, in the soil, and under rocks, with no obvious day and night behavior, so it is easy to find its tracks in the wild.
It is easy to keep and feeds on live cockroaches, bread bugs and carnivorous ants. It is kept in plaster nests. The temperature should not be too high and the nests should be kept in high humidity. The feeding area should be provided with dry media for the larvae to cocoon.
